History of the PURE Brand and Firebird Trademark

The PURE Oil brand has a long history. It has been part of the American landscape since 1920.
Today, members of the PURE Oil Jobbers Cooperative, Inc. have the exclusive right to use the PURE name and Firebird trademark. This allows members to use the brand when marketing PURE petroleum products at retail sites within the original Co-op territory. The original Co-op territory includes Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
Additionally, the PURE Co-op has the right to expand the brand into all 50 states; the organization has included this expansion in its long-term master plan.
PURE Brand Licensing Agreement
Through the licensing agreement, the Pure Oil Jobbers Co-op can grow the PURE name in new locations. Members can use PURE imaging and Firebird Trademark to market convenience stores and service stations. These retail sites can use the PURE brand on signage, graphics, pump decals, credit card processing, and other materials.
A licensing agreement for the PURE name and trademark is drafted for each site; however, licensees have the flexibility and convenience to arrange for their own supply.
PURE Convenience Store & Service Station Imaging Program
Members of the Co-op can choose to utilize the PURE brand identity standards at their retail sites. Our brand standards create consistency in all of the touchpoints of a convenience store or service station. You can use these standards to build confidence and customer loyalty through a quality brand experience.
We have approved vendors you can use to obtain PURE signs, images, decals, etc. for your retail sites. PURE images, signs, decals, and other branding materials can be obtained through order forms available online
