Our company is a charter member of Pure, and both myself and my son, Johnny, have served on the BOD over the years. Our company used the brand Unocal 76 until Unocal’s decision to leave MS. We were operating several small convenience stores at the time and needed a Brand and contract gallons for these stores. The formation of the Pure Oil cooperative filled both needs at the time. As a matter of fact, our early contract pricing formula was so competitive, we grew our contract volumes exponentially for several years.
